Convergence+ To Debut March 30
According to the Computing Technology Industry Association, its latest "plus" certification, Convergence+, will go live March 30.
The "vendor-neutral" exam is designed to cover knowledge and skills needed to combine "datacomm, telephony/telecommunications, video and broadcast multimedia technologies...into a single IP-based delivery system." The organization recommends that candidates have 18 to 24 months of hands-on experience in these technologies before attempting the exam.
The exam (CT0-101) will consist of 90 traditional-format questions with a 90-minute time limit. When it debuts, it will be available at Prometric and Pearson Vue testing centers worldwide. The price for the exam in the U.S. will be 5.
The organizaiton began working on Convergence+ back in 2005. The exam debuted in beta format in October.
